Below are our Rental Terms and Conditions. This applies to all rental items booked through our Kittie Yiyi website and in stores, unless otherwise specified. You will always be asked to read and accept these before proceeding at the Checkout or in store.
By placing a booking on our Kittie Yiyi website that contains any items that are for rent, you are entering a legally binding contract between yourself and KYY Creative Sdn Bhd that provides the items within your order.
The terms on this page are specific to the rental of an item through our Kittie Yiyi website. For more generic terms that apply to the use of our Kittie Yiyi website, please see our Terms of Service policy.
By entering this agreement, you authorise Kittie Yiyi to charge the selected payment method according to the terms outlined in this agreement. You certify that you are authorised to use this credit card/account and you agree not to dispute the payment with your provider if Kittie Yiyi fulfils its responsibilities in providing the services and rental item(s).
You also authorise Kittie Yiyi to charge the supplied payment method for any additional fees as outlined in this agreement (such as damages or late return fees).
Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to take all steps necessary to recoup any amounts owing as per this agreement, including taking legal action. This may increase the amount owed by the customer, to cover the costs of these services.
Title to Rental Items
At all times, the rental items are and remain the property of Kittie Yiyi. Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to retrieve the item at any time.
Due to each pieces of our collections being one and only pieces or limited edition, therefore our rental services are available and limited within KL, Malaysia only. We reserve the right to cancel or prohibit any rentals for any reason in our sole discretion, including but not limited to availability and geographic concerns.
For customers (Malaysia only) outside of KL who really want and are able to abide to our 4-day rental period rule, you may reach out to us at email@example.com and we will review your request in our sole discretion and will still reserve the right to limit or refuse any services.
Booking an Appointment
Our rental services for both 'One-Time Rental' and Membership Packages are by appointment basis only and open only to KL. Please book an appointment at least 3 working days before your event date. Last minute appointments will NOT be entertained.
Members are limited to the amount of items they are able to rent according to the membership package you purchase. Please read the description before purchasing. You can view all our available membership packages here.
The rental period stated in the description for your rental is 'inclusive'. For example, a 4-day rental period can mean that your item will arrive by Friday and you will return it back on Monday. In this example, both the Friday and the Monday are included in the 4-day period. Rental slots are only valid for 12 months starting from the day you purchase the membership package.
A 80% of refundable deposit will be collected for each look rented upon pick-up for both our Membership programme. This will be refunded to the customer once all items are returned and confirmed without any irreparable damages by our staff.
A RM10 'Try On' fee will be charged for each look when customers come in for try-ons in our One-Time Rental programme. The amount will be deducted from the rental amount if customers decided to rent the look.
All items rented via Kittie Yiyi will come together with a garment bag and hangers. Items will be available for self pick-up on the day you intend to rent the item. Customers may arrange for self pick-up at Kittie Yiyi Studio or customers can arrange their own courier service with fees to be fully borne by customers themselves.
If your delivery is left unattended or fails because you have provided an incorrect or incomplete address, you will not be entitled to a refund and are responsible for any additional fees incurred. It is your responsibility to ensure that the address you provide us is accurate and complete. This includes providing a valid apartment/unit number, company name or any other information required for courier services to deliver to you.
Incorrect or Faulty Items
If you open your delivered parcel to find that you have been sent the incorrect item, please let us know immediately. If there's enough time, we will do our best to get you a replacement so you still have something to wear.
If you find that the item is correct, but has other issues (e.g. major damages, faults or stains), please let us know within 24 hours of receiving the item, and definitely before wearing the item.
If you don't let us know within this timeframe, we reserve the right to refuse a refund as it will not be clear when the damage was caused or by who. You should do this even if you believe you will still wear the item, as you may be offered an exchange. More importantly, it will mean you won't be blamed for the damage or charged damage fees.
You acknowledge that the items being sent to you are not brand new and may have some signs of wear & tear.
Issue with Fit or Appearance
We try to provide as much information as we can regarding the fit of the items available for rent on our website. We take no responsibility if you choose a size or item which does not fit you or does not suit you. If in doubt, please get in touch!
Unless specified in our rental agreement, there will be NO exchange offered in this circumstance. Please take note of these terms when viewing items on our website and when accepting the terms during Checkout.
Please check the measurements before renting our items. We provide minor alterations for selected items only. Minor alterations are: bust, waist, hip, straps.
For cancellations of rented items, Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to accept or reject any cancellation requests. You will eligible to a refund of a slot item if your cancellation request is approved and received in 14 or more days prior to your booking start date. Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to not entertain any cancellation request for any reason or received less than 14 days as this is considered as "last minute cancellation".
If your request is accepted, the maximum cancellation request for basic and standard plan members are 1 slot per 12 months and premium plan members are up to 2 slots per 12 months.
If your cancellation request is rejected, your item slot will be forfeited and considered as used.
In exceptional circumstances we will consider a cancellation outside the allowances above, but reserve the right to decide. Please get in touch to explain your situation for our consideration.
Cancellations by Kittie Yiyi
Kittie Yiyi may cancel your booking, for any reason. The compensation to you will be limited to the amount you paid to Kittie Yiyi for the booking and postage. Kittie Yiyi will not be responsible for any consequential damages that result from cancellation of the booking.
Reasons Kittie Yiyi may cancel your booking include, but are not limited to:
- The item is damaged by a customer that has rented the item prior to you.
- The item is lost or stolen by a customer that rented the item prior to you.
- It is deemed that it is not possible to deliver the item to you in time for your booking, due to previous late return by a customer, or for any other reason, such as postage network delays.
In all cases above, you will be entitled to a full refund excluding processing fees. Please read 'Definition of Refund' below for more information.
Returns & Exchanges
Unless specified in the Terms & Conditions offered by Kittie Yiyi, returns and exchanges for change of mind or an unsuitable size/fit are NOT offered.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are booking the correct size and style, though we will always try to help with guidance if you want to get in touch with us before booking.
Returning of Items
If your "Return" date falls on a Sunday or a public holiday, you may return the item on the next working day, latest by 3pm.
All items including the garment bag and hangers are to be returned to our Kittie Yiyi Studio latest by 3pm on your return date.

We are not responsible for any personal or other items left in the return packaging. If you have accidentally left any such items, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We dry-clean all garments when they are returned after your rental. There will be no fees charged as long as stains can be removed. Permanent staining that won'tcome out when dry-cleaned, the damage policy below will apply.
You agree that under no circumstances will you attempt to clean the rental item(s) yourself, or have them cleaned by anyone else.
If you attempt to clean a garment and cause damage, or cause a stain to be permanent, Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to bill you the full retail price of the garment. This fee will be on top of any amount already paid for rental or postage.
If damage (stains, rips, etc) is seen when your garment arrives, please take photos of this and let us know right away. If you don't do this and there was no known damage prior to delivery, it may be assumed that the damage was caused by you.
You agree that under no circumstances will you attempt to repair or clean the rental item(s) yourself, or have them cleaned by anyone else. Do not cut, alter, sew or tape any item.
If an item is damaged, you will be liable for the cost of restoring or replacing the garment. In the case the garment cannot be restored to a suitable condition, the fee charged will be the original retail price of the garment. This fee will be on top of any amount already paid for rental or postage, and the item will still need to be returned to Kittie Yiyi, regardless of the amount of damage.
If you've lost or not returned an item, you will be liable for up to 100% of the retail price of the item. The items available for rent on our website are limited and exclusive. Please be considerate.
By accepting this agreement, you give permission for Kittie Yiyi to charge fees for damages or loss of an item to the payment method you used when placing your order. You will be given the option of using an alternative payment method before the charge is made.
If for any reason you return the rental item(s) on a day after the “Return On” specified, late fees will be applied. RM100 per day will be charged until the item has been returned as this will affect a future booking for another customer.
By accepting this agreement, you give permission for Kittie Yiyi to charge late fees to the payment method you used when placing your order. You will be given the option of using an alternative payment method before the charge is made.
Customers account will be banned from our rental services if the customer has been retuning items late more than twice.
Definition of “Refund”
Our refund policy will be by case to case basis. Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to reject any unreasonable request. If the customer is agreed to a refund, the refund is returned back to you via initial form of payment used to place that order. If you paid for the order by credit/debit card, the funds will be returned to that card.
Refunds take 5-10 days to appear on a customer's statement. Please note that payment processing fees of the original transaction will NOT be refunded. For some regions and payment types, refunded payments also incur additional fees.
Limitation of Liability
By accepting the rental agreement, you agree that Kittie Yiyi will not be liable for any loss, damage, costs or expenses of an indirect or consequential nature incurred or suffered by you as a result of:
- Cancellation of a rental booking
- Late delivery of a rental item
- Non-delivery of a rental item
- An issue with the quality of a delivered rental item
This includes but is not limited to economic loss, loss of goodwill, emotional suffering, loss of opportunity or other loss of turnover, profits or business.
Kittie Yiyi's liability will be limited to any amount paid by the customer to Kittie Yiyi.
Changes to the Rental Agreement
Kittie Yiyi reserves the right to change the Rental Agreement at any time, so it is important you review and accept them each time you place a booking with us.
The terms that apply to an order will be in accordance with the Rental Agreement as they stood on the date the order was placed.
